the above link has a number of informational bits on growing passion fruit. It is a vine, and needs a large amount of support, and a constant supply of water. It also needs space and a trellis to climb up, because otherwise it will spread and quickly smother other plants (block out the sunlight). Fresh passion fruit seeds germinate quicker than older ones (probably true for all seeds), and require about 10-20 days for germination. They require slow-release fertilizer with moderate to low amounts of nitrogen, and a nice large hole to allow the roots to expand.
